Phone Tracker for everyone

You no longer need a RaceBox to time a lap: your iPhone can do it.

New

  • Phone Tracker. On iPhone, time laps with the phone's GPS on a live race dashboard that also turns landscape, shows lean angle and a G-force circle, and speaks your lap times.
  • Turn a ride into a track. On iPhone, create a track from a Phone Tracker ride, with the path you drove drawn on the map while you place the start line.
  • Open landing page. lapster.me is open to everyone with no invite needed, redesigned around the racing line.

Improved

  • First-run Home. On iPhone, a new rider's Home opens on a rotating poster hero with ways to get started, instead of a plain empty list.
  • Support. A new Help & Support page answers common questions; open it from Settings on iPhone or from the lapster.me footer.

Fixed

  • On iPhone, the location and Bluetooth permission prompts now describe what the app actually does.
  • Your email address can no longer become your public display name.

A new look, and a new web app

Lapster gets a blue-to-violet look and a calmer lap screen on iPhone, and a new web app opens at app.lapster.me.

New

  • A new web app. Open app.lapster.me in a browser to see your sessions, laps, tracks and profiles, import RaceBox CSV files, and chat in real time.
  • A new look. The app icon, primary buttons and Track Library pills on iPhone wear the Lapster blue-to-violet gradient.

Improved

  • Personal-best celebration on iPhone opens as a bottom sheet you can swipe away.
  • Home title. On iPhone, the Lapster. wordmark is now the large title on Home, with a brand-red dot.
  • Lap screen. Playback scrolling, rotation and the chart crosshair behave better on iPhone.

Fixed

  • Stray lines and GPS-glitch spikes no longer show on the lap map on iPhone.

Track days you can book

On iPhone, book a spot at a track day, review it afterwards, and share it with one link.

New

  • Track day booking. On iPhone, book a spot on a track day, see how many spots are taken, and join the waitlist when it is full.
  • Organizer tools. On iPhone, organizers see the roster, message an attendee and edit their details; on the web they can edit their details too.
  • Track day reviews. On iPhone, riders with a confirmed spot can rate the day with stars, write a review, and attach up to 10 photos and one of their laps.
  • Share a track day. On iPhone, the Share button on a track day sends a short go.lapster.me link that opens the track in the app, or its page on the web in a browser.

Improved

  • Lap compare readout. On iPhone the readout is about 30 percent shorter, playback gives a light haptic tick, and a tap on the lap ruler jumps to that point.
  • Track pages on the web now show the organizer, capacity and reviews.

Fixed

  • On iPhone, GIF comments on a session wall post again, and a picked GIF stays selected while the list refreshes.
  • On iPhone, opening a shared Lapster link while the app is closed no longer gets lost.

Sharper lap comparison

Lap comparison on iPhone shows who you are up against at a glance, plus a round of fixes.

New

  • Rider rail on the lap screen. On iPhone, the riders you compare sit in a row of avatars at the top of the lap screen, each with their gap to you.
  • Zoom minimap. Zoom into the lap chart on iPhone and a minimap of the whole lap lets you drag to any part of it.

Improved

  • Speed for every rider. The lap readout on iPhone shows a speed for each rider you compare, not just two.
  • Leave phone mode. The RaceBox standalone recording button on iPhone no longer gets stuck when the device misses a reply.

Fixed

  • A personal best you post no longer vanishes from the stories feed.
  • Pinch-zoom in a photo gallery on iPhone no longer bleeds into the neighbouring photo.
