Protocols, progress and posters

Turn a race protocol into sessions, watch your season unfold, and shuffle fresh record posters.

New

  • Timing protocols. Upload a MYLAPS PDF to your team on iPhone or the web, or drop it in the team's linked Telegram group, and each matched rider gets their sessions with their lap times.
  • Undo a match. The team can see the history of rider matches and undo a wrong one.
  • Rider progress. On iPhone and the web, see your season on one track as pace, consistency, endurance and ramp-up, with up to nine posters to share.
  • Poster shuffle. On iPhone, the personal-best screen shuffles a fresh poster each time you tap Shuffle, and can step back to one you passed.

Improved

  • Team screen. Secondary actions sit behind one menu, any member can add riders from the plus on the avatar row, and the Track Time and Sessions tiles open the team's sessions, on iPhone and the web.
  • Haptics. On iPhone, taps, switches and pickers answer with one consistent set of vibrations, and you can keep only the essential ones or turn them off in Settings.

Fixed

  • A short link that will not open now says so on iPhone.

0.83.0

Lap order and fresher screens

On iPhone, sort the laps you add to a comparison your way, and screens catch up the moment you follow or block someone.

New

  • Lap order. On iPhone, the Add-lap sheet lists a session's laps fastest first or in lap order, for this ride and any past ride you open, and remembers your choice.
  • App Store button first. lapster.me now leads with the App Store button.

Improved

  • Back, not close. On iPhone, the Devices and Notifications panels now have a back arrow instead of a close X.
  • Fresher screens. On iPhone, following or blocking a rider shows at once on your profile and dashboard, a blocked rider leaves your stories straight away, and a claimed track day appears on its track page.

Fixed

  • On iPhone, favorited tracks stay available offline, and an empty track list no longer wipes the offline copy.
  • On iPhone, a friend's profile suggestions opened from Notifications no longer freeze, and a suggested photo no longer shows as both the "before" and the "after".

Move between the main screens with a swipe on iPhone, and a round of fixes to what you see after signing in.

Boost a friend's profile

Help a friend fill in their profile, and a broad round of fixes on iPhone.

New

  • Boost a friend's profile. On iPhone, open a friend's profile menu to suggest an avatar, cover, bio, socials, follows, team or vehicle, and they accept each item they like.
  • Official corner numbers. On iPhone, corner battle now uses each circuit's real turn numbers, one card per turn, in circuit order.

Improved

  • Your speed unit everywhere. On iPhone, speeds show in the unit you picked, km/h or mph, across the app.
  • Search now says so when nothing matches, and a track's rider list that fails to load no longer looks empty, on iPhone.

Fixed

  • Lap times and gaps on iPhone no longer show as 1:60.00 instead of 2:00.00.
  • Warning and error text on iPhone now has enough contrast in light mode.
  • Russian and Indonesian now address you the same way throughout, on iPhone and the web.

0.72.0

Playback bar and chat reactions

Keep a voice note playing while you do something else, and react to any message.

New

  • Playback bar. On iPhone, voice and video notes keep playing when you leave a chat, queue up automatically, and let you change the speed.
  • Message reactions. React to a chat message with an emoji, one per rider, on iPhone and the web.
  • Return to the note. On iPhone, tap the playback bar to jump back to the message that is playing.

Improved

  • Lock screen. On iPhone, voice notes keep playing in the background, with Now Playing controls.
  • Corner names. In the corner analysis on the web, a corner that joins several turns is named after all of them, like 3–4.

Fixed

  • Corner battle no longer shows apex speed under an entry label.
  • Two official turns no longer claim the same apex, and a tie no longer tints the rival green.
  • A message sent on a shaky connection no longer arrives twice.

0.70.0

Screens that open instantly

On iPhone, Lapster keeps what you looked at last, so screens appear the moment you open them.

New

  • Instant screens. On iPhone, stories, devices, notifications, chats, profiles, tracks and teams show from a local cache in the very first frame.
  • Grouped notifications. On iPhone and the web, likes and comments from several riders collapse into one row, with filters for Racing, Comments and Follows.
  • Instagram-safe recaps. A new toggle keeps Daily Recap cards clear of Instagram's overlays on iPhone.
  • Storage dashboard. Settings on iPhone now shows what is cached on the phone, category by category.

Improved

  • Corner battle map stays sharp as you zoom and shows speeds beside each corner, on iPhone.
  • Rate the app. After a personal best, the iPhone app may ask whether you would like to rate Lapster.

Fixed

  • Closing the Daily Recap sheet on iPhone with an unsaved caption or photo now asks first.
  • Lap links shared from the web now open in the iPhone app instead of doing nothing.

0.66.0

Corner battle and video notes

Compare corners rider against rider, and record video notes more easily.

New

  • Full-screen lap comparison. On iPhone, comparing laps opens full screen, with Summary and Corner Battle tabs you can swipe between.
  • Corner-by-corner analysis. When you compare laps, swipe through one card per corner that explains where time was won or lost, on iPhone and the web.
  • Flip the camera mid-recording. On iPhone, switch between the front and back camera while you record a video note.
  • Transcripts for video notes. On iPhone and the web, turn a video note into text, and send one to LapsterBot to get an answer.

Improved

  • Drag up to lock. Hold the record button and drag up to keep recording a voice message hands-free, on iPhone and on the web on a touch screen.
  • Sign in with Apple on the web. app.lapster.me now offers Apple next to Google.

Fixed

  • On iPhone, a RaceBox Pro session download that fails now tells you instead of failing silently.

0.61.0

Video notes in your chats

Send a quick video note in any chat, on iPhone and on the web.

New

  • Video notes. On iPhone and on the web, hold the capture button to record a short video and send it, and pick its shape in Settings. Tap the button to switch between voice and video.
  • Readable track links. Track links now carry the track's name instead of a long code, and old links still work.

Improved

  • Clearer errors on the web. When a chat, a profile or the track map fails to load, or a message, upload or delete does not go through, the web app now says so, with a retry where it helps.
  • Search engines can now find recent sessions too, not only tracks and profiles.

Fixed

  • Deleting your account from Settings, on iPhone or on the web, now works. Before, it failed for any account that had been used.

0.58.0

A monthly invite contest starts, and the web app learns to talk to your RaceBox.

New

  • Referral GP. On iPhone and the web, invite riders to Lapster and climb a monthly leaderboard of inviters.
  • RaceBox in the browser. In Chrome or Edge, connect a RaceBox Mini S or Micro at app.lapster.me to download its sessions and time laps live.

The supporter heart now shows on web profiles too

Improved

  • Save all photos. On iPhone, save every photo in a gallery at once and watch the progress.
  • Search engines can now find public tracks and rider profiles.

Fixed

  • Signing out on the web now clears the data cached for your account.

0.52.0

Report and block, and more on the web

Tools to keep Lapster safe, and the web app gets lap replay, track days, teams and more.

New

  • Report and block. On iPhone and the web, report a rider, message, comment or story, and block a rider.
  • Lap replay on the web. At app.lapster.me, replay a session's fastest laps head-to-head on the map, compare a lap with your other laps or another rider's best, and see who wins each corner.
  • Time laps in the browser. On the web, time laps with your phone's GPS and save the run as a session.
  • Track days on the web. At app.lapster.me, book a spot, review a track day with photos and a lap, and, as an organizer, see who is coming and message them.
  • Transfer Session. Handing a session to another rider is now a clear Transfer Session screen on iPhone.

Improved

  • More on the web. Teams, voice messages and GIFs in chats, and creating a track on a map arrive at app.lapster.me.
  • Lapster.me now replays a real Mandalika battle between three riders, and shared links open in the web app, even for visitors who are not signed in.
